Binscombe Matters
Binscombe Medical Trust
The Trust is a vital part of life at Binscombe. It was established to give support to the Practice when it moved to its current location in 1990.
The Trust continues to support the work of the Practice and helps improve service to patients by:
- Funding new equipment
- Improving the environment of the centre
- Linking with the community Health Council
- Acting as a voice for patients with whom we can consult
Examples of purchases made by the Trust include the landscaping of our inner courtyard garden, and money towards a defibrillator for the Practice. The Trust will also be able to help us with refurbishment after our building project is complete.
The Trust receives income from:
- Private donations
- Fund raising activities
- Sponsored activities
- Most donations to the Practice are passed on to the Trust
You can support Binscombe Medical Trust by:
- Making a donation or organising fund raising
- Supporting activities
- Offering skills
- Suggesting projects
Contact the Trust at the Practice, either through Roseanne Logue our Practice Manager, or one of the Trustees: Tony Moorey (Treasurer); David Dray; Madeleine Gibb; Ian Smith; Denys Kinsella.
If you would like to contact one of the Trustees to discuss any matters relating to the trust, or to the Practice, please e mail Ian Smith at:
Chase Children's Hospice
As a Practice we look after all the children while they stay at Christopher's Chase hospice. This has proved to be one of the most rewarding parts of our work and we have learnt a great deal from the children and their families as they cope with such serious illnesses.
