Doctors in Training
Binscombe Medical Centre has been a training practice for 10 years. Qualified doctors spend a year working with us as the final part of their training in General Practice. Being involved in training helps all the doctors at the practice to remain stimulated by the latest developments in medicine. Doctors in training are required to video some of their consultations and you may be asked to participate in this, but it is always on a voluntary basis.
Locums
On occasions, it may be necessary to provide a fully trained locum doctor to cover surgery sessions in the absence of the usual doctor. We will try to inform you that you will be seeing a locum doctor when you make your appointment.
Medical Students
Medical students regularly attend the practice to learn about general practice. They occasionally sit in with doctors during consultations. The receptionist will inform you if a medical student is present, and they will only stay for the consultation if you are entirely happy with this.
